EA AND PUBLIC HEARING

UDOT is conducting an Environmental Assessment (EA) to determine a recommended future road alignment that would extend the Midvalley Highway (S.R. 179) and connect it from S.R. 138 to S.R. 36.

The study team hosted a Public Hearing for the public to review the EA, including the Preferred Alternative, and accepted public comment between Sept. 10 and Oct. 10, 2023. The Public Hearing included both an online and in-person opportunity. The same information was presented at both meetings and is available in the video below.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this study are being or have been carried out by UDOT pursuant to 23 USC 327 and a memorandum of understanding dated Jan. 17, 2017, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and UDOT.
